Lace up those skates because we're thrilled to announce Roller Dance Australia's first ever Sun Skate Rollerskating Festival!

Saturday 9th December from 12.00pm at Milton Park.

Sun Skate 2023 will offer a full day of roller skating vibes. The event will feature four general skating sessions open to participants of all ages and skill levels and an over 16s Boogie Nights Roller Disco with DJ. 🤩

Admission to the event venue is free, so bring your family and friends, and join us for an unforgettable day filled with skating, laughter, and good times.

All ages skate rink sessions and our Boogie Nights Roller Disco will be ticketed, with entry starting at only $10.

Master of Ceremonies

Rebel Lyons

Rebel is renown as the silliest goose on the loose and is very well known across the event space in Brisbane, wearing many hats from producer, actor, writer, rollerskater, host of Bogan Bingo and of course MC

Rebel will be our MC during the daytime activities. Make sure you share your biggest smiles. Show her some love!

Roller Skating Coach

Sofi Cherchyk

Sofi has been skating since she was 5 years old. She has trained with the best figure skating coaches in the world, represented her country and judge international competitions. Sofi has fallen in love with the rhythm of roller dance and today enjoys fusing styles.

You can catch Sofi teaching the warm up to open the event, the beginner sessions throughout the event and leading her group's performance from The Roller Skating Academy.

Roller Dance Coach

Dion Bello

Get ready to groove with Dion Bello, the maestro of moves! Dion will bring his infectious energy and killer roller dance skills with a roller jam workshop. Roll over to his Instagram for a sneak peek into the world of Queensland roller jam fusion!

Dion will be dancing up a storm at his Roller Jam Fusion session. You will love it.

Yoga Instructor

Zaya Bayar

Certified in Hatha and Vinyasa, Zaya's all about creating a chill yet transformative zone for your yoga journey.

Catch her at 3 pm next to the main court for her free yoga session! Bring your mat or your fave blanket – it's all about vibing with the moment and your body. All ages and levels, let's make some yoga magic happen.

Boogie Nights DJ

Truffles Bootcamp

With 20 years of DJing under his belt and a track record spanning genres from afro-booty-funk to Balkan beat, Toby is the maestro behind the decks. From the sandy grounds of Burning Man to the lively stages of the Brisbane Festival, Toby's beats have echoed far and wide.

Catch him spinning his uplifting tunes at our Boogie night Disco party from 6pm till 8 pm!

Zumba Teacher

Get ready to dance to the rhythm of Sun Skate! 💃 – Sara Holhid is bringing her infectious energy to the festival with a free Zumba class that will have you moving, grooving, and feeling the beat.

Don't miss out on the ultimate Latin party – join Sara H's Zumba to travel to the other side of the world for 30 minutes! Sara will take to the main rink at 2.30pm.
